About Me- The Techy Teacher Librarian

I am Jennifer Wells.  I graduated from Ball State University and began teaching French in 1996.  In 2008, I got my Masters degree in Library Science from Indiana State University. In June, 2014 I obtained certification to be a Technology Coach.

In 2010, I took over the school library and continued teaching French.  In 2011, our school corporation adopted a 1:1 initiative in grades 2-12.  Students in grade 2-5 have a personal iPad and students in grades 6-12 have a Lenovo laptop. I spent hours teaching students, teachers and parents about tech tools they can use in the classroom and at home.  I went totally paperless in my classroom.

I am a huge fan of technology in education.  I use it daily in my classroom and enjoy learning as much as I can about anything tech.  I spend a lot of my summer vacation reading books, attending conferences and webinars and learning technology. I decided in 2012 to start blogging and I figured the best way to do so was to start blogging about technology.   I try to write two posts a month about library topics and tech tools that can be used in a classroom.   Hopefully my journey will help someone else make a successful classroom with technology.

I participate as often as possible in numerous twitter chats, including #edchat, #tlchat, #aslachat, #titletalk, #edtech, #INeLearn, just to name a few.
